Today is Tuesday, September 1 and I am writing this mid-week sermon early.
WHY?? Because I am going to the Atlanta Braves day game tomorrow, Lord willing?
I am not sure if I will post early or schedule for tomorrow -WWS????
A hint of Fall is in the air and world and worldly events are spiraling faster and faster as the SOON COMING of our Lord and Savior grows nearer and nearer.

Yesterday, my fellow Minister and dear friend and BROTHER IN CHRIST was SUDDENLY and UN-expectantly apprehended by a hungry horde of local TV reporters!
His neighborhood was vandalized with offensive graffiti and without any warning he was "on camera."

I have played guitar for over 40 years now!
God SPOKE to me and God CALLED me to play guitar in 1971.
What began in a small Home PRAYER Meeting grew into a full-time Music Ministry and then a Pastorate.
My guitar-one among the dozen or so stolen from me over the years-now sits directly in front of my recliner-ALWAYS available for me to simply pick up and play/practice.
BUT the thought of picking it up literally sickens me-WHY I have no reason?
While watching the movie, MR.HOLLAND'S OPUS with Amanda recently, I was touched by an astute observation the band teacher Mr. Holland made to a clarinet student.
She was a horrible musician and he wryly observed to her, "MUSIC IS SUPPOSED TO BE FUN!"
That sentence spoke DEEPLY to my heart-"MUSIC IS SUPPOSED TO BE FUN!"
But, whether it is fun or not to me, I WELL know God has given me a GIFT and I

TONIGHT I PLAN to bend over and place my guitar in my hands and PRACTICE!
NOT practicing and your fingers grow soft and weak.
I go to Foley, AL. in 30 plus days and well know they will expect me to play!
I received a call yesterday to play and preach sometime later this month.
Who knows what tomorrow will bring??
