Navigating Kiawah Aug. 6-12:

ISLAND ACCESS: To enter Kiawah from Aug. 6-12, you need both: 
  1. a KICA gate pass (your regular KICA issued barcode or paper pass)
  2. a PGA rear-view mirror hang-tag credential

Guests: Your guests will also need a KICA gate pass (paper pass) and a PGA hang-tag credential. 

 

Contact: If you still need a KICA gate pass or PGA hang-tag for yourself or a guest, email MemberServices@kica.us or call 1-866-226-1770. These may be picked up at the Main Gate through Sunday, Aug. 5 and at the Island Center (located at the intersection of Betsy Kerrison Parkway, River Road and Bohicket Road) Aug.6-12.

 

ON-ISLAND SHUTTLE BUSES: There will be a complimentary on-island shuttle system (view a map of the routes and a list of the stops) for PGA ticket holders that will operate on 20-minute intervals. The shuttle service will begin at 5 a.m. until 9 p.m., when the last shuttle will depart from the Ocean Course. Bicycle parking will be available at every shuttle stop and at the Ocean Course.

 

TRASH/RECYCLING: Trash and recycling during PGA week will be collected on normally scheduled days, but at 8 p.m. (at the curb for everyone). Learn more...

 

COMMERCIAL WORK: All non-essential and non-emergency commercial work on Kiawah not related to the PGA will be suspended from Aug. 6-12. View a list of suspended and authorized businesses. If you have questions or need to arrange an emergency household repair during PGA week, call KICA Security at 843-768-5566.

  • Commercial landscape maintenance WILL be permitted on Kiawah on Sunday, Aug. 5 from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

NO ON-STREET PARKING: During PGA week there will be no on-street parking on Kiawah between 5 a.m. and 6 p.m. Vehicles will be towed. Learn more...

Please note: 
  • From now until through Aug. 5, expect periodic, minor traffic delays upon entering and exiting Kiawah as large equipment and deliveries are transported onto the island for the PGA. Traffic onto Kiawah during PGA week is expected to be particularly heavy from 7-11 a.m. Please plan your travel schedules accordingly.
  • There will be no change to Sandcastle Community Center hours or fitness schedule during PGA week.

  • The Ocean Course will not be accessible by beach. Boardwalk 42 is currently closed and will remain closed throughout the tournament.
