Dear Friends,

After many months, I am excited to announce the completion of a short film in my I FLOW LIKE WATER series.
The film recounts my philosophy of bringing nature on canvas.

My studio, along with the Alfred Caldwell Lily Pond in Lincoln Park (Chicago) sets the stage where I find inspiration and demonstrate my painting style while recreating the lily pond on plexiglas. Upon completion, the painting (pictured below) was mounted in a lightbox with LED lights.

A little background on the pond:  Across the street from the Lincoln Park Conservatory, the Alfred Caldwell Lily Pool was designed in the late 1930s by landscape architect Alfred Caldwell. It was a divine venue to become inspired. In Caldwell's signature prairie style (developed through his mentorships with Jens Jensen and Frank Lloyd Wright,) he redesigned an old Victorian pond into a one and a half acre nature sanctuary reminding us of the importance of communing with nature in our lives.

Below is a link to Part One, of a three-part series on water, plastics (Part Two - coming soon) and the evolution of my work.

Thank you all for your support and inspiration...
