AZ ASHE Survey Results!

We asked your opinion on how our  chapter was doing, from when it was most convenient to meet to what was your primary reason for attending.  some comments were:
" I would like to have a session on Medical gases...."
" The last event I went to had little to no networking."

The results of the survey show  79% of those that responded prefer meeting on Wednesdays and  70% prefer meeting to be held around noon form 11:00am to 2:00pm.  The primary reason for attending  chapter meetings was the topic and networking.  The topics with the highest interest were New Technologies, Health codes and standards and construction planning an design.

We thank everyone for taking the time to take the survey the we will use the information to guide our future planning. If you would like to see all the result a click the link below.

Implications of 2015 Legislation
on New HOPDs

Bipartisan Budget Act of 2015 will significantly affect hospital property development.

Signed into law in November 2015, the Bipartisan Budget Act of 2015 includes a new provision that is expected to negatively impact the development of new off-campus hospital outpatient departments (HOPDs)-and as a result, increase the demand for currently existing facilities. This new provision lowers the Medicare reimbursement rates for newly constructed HOPDs starting in 2017, but existing facilities (as of November 2015) will be grandfathered in.

Consequently, hospitals will need to seriously consider the financial impact of reduced reimbursement rates when assessing the viability of developing new HOPDs.
