Tips for Avoiding Allergies This Season

Nothing can put a damper on spring's arrival-the sunshine! the warmer temps!-like seasonal allergies. It is hard to appreciate the longer days, get excited about planting your garden, and well, stop and smell the roses when you are suffering from watery eyes, a runny nose, sneezing and sinus pain. Simple changes such as checking the pollen count before heading outdoors, wearing a face mask while mowing the lawn, changing your clothes & washing your hair after spending time outside, and changing your air filters can keep symptoms at bay.

So before you buy stock in your favorite brand of tissues, visit our blog for more great tips!

Let's Go Picking

Whether you are picking them yourself at a local farm like Ambrose or Boone Hall or just picking some up from the grocery store, strawberries are a must this time of year. Packed with antioxidants, strawberries can help boost your immune system, ward off cancer, and fight free radicals. Stir them into yogurt or oatmeal for a healthy breakfast, toss them in a spinach salad or spoon them over lemon pound cake to add a fresh, nutritional punch to your meals.
