On May 22, 2016 at approximately 9:54 am, the Vallejo Emergency Communications Center received a report of a structure fire on the 800 block of Stella Street.
Both Police and Fire personnel responded to the scene and found the residence engulfed in flames. Vallejo Police Detectives, Fire Investigators and Crime Scene personnel were called in to investigate and process the scene.
A five-year old child, who resided at the house, was found deceased inside. The child's mother Lametricias Seilflood, a 45 year old, Vallejo resident was also severely burned in the fire.
Darrylone Shuemake Sr, a 53 year old, Vallejo resident is believed to be responsible for intentionally setting the fire. Darrylone Shuemake, Sr was arrested for murder on May 25, 2016, in Richmond, Ca.
On July 20, 2016, Lametricias Seilflood succumbed to her injuries, while being treated at a Sacramento area hospital for her burn injuries.
