The ArtNight Minigrant program is funded by the Arts & Culture Commission to expand participation by Pasadena-based non-profit arts and culture organizations, arts organizations without venues, independent non-commercial galleries, ensembles and individual artists. Michelle Bloom performs from her latest work, "Fields of Attention," a 10-song journey inspired by the writings of poets, neuroscientists, buddhists and monks. Also, three-piece, indie collective Bird + Moon performs popular and original music. |

46 N. Los Robles: A History of the Pasadena Art Museum traces the development of the Pasadena Art Museum, focusing on its years in Pacific Asia Museum's Grace Nicholson Building.
Minigrant Recipient
String and Bamboo Music will perform music with traditional Chinese instruments, highlighting both Eastern and Western culture. Dragon and lion dancers fron the San Gabriel Valley Chinese Cultural Association parade between Pacific Asia Museum and City Hall, with a performance at the end of the parade route. Also, three string ensembles from the Verdugo Young Musicians Association perform classical selections with conductor Samvel Chilingarian. |
