A beautiful selection of fine jewelry by Andrea Lyman

Mysterious, awe-inspiring, and sometimes a bit quirky, Stobie's work celebrates the petroglyphs of ancient peoples.
Stobie draws upon a 30-year career in fine art, showcasing more than 100 of her paintings and sculptures

The petroglyphs and petrographs of ancient people are found on rocks throughout the world. Fine artist Monica Stobie, who captures the essence of this mysterious artwork in her paintings and sculptures, has traveled extensively throughout the western United States and parts of Europe, on a quest to see these fragile sites in person.

"I love the mystery of it all," she says.

Experience the mystery and mystique of Stobie's art firsthand at an artist's reception Saturday, August 22, from 1 - 5 p.m. when Stobie will be at the Wenaha Gallery in person. More than 100 of her works, representing a 30-year journey as a professional fine artist, will be on display.

Free refreshments will be provided.

Read more about Stobie, and her unique fine art, at our Wenaha.Wordpress.com blog article, Life Is a Journey: The Primitive Rock Art Paintings and Sculpture of Monica Stobie.

Stobie's Art Event runs through Saturday, September 19. While you're here, make sure to check out the new jewelry displays by Andrea Lyman, whose love for creating beautiful things results in a collection of elegant, one-of-a-kind bracelets, earrings, and necklaces.

"I love to play with the colors, shapes, and textures of the materials until a piece begins to create itself, guiding my hands, thoughts, and visions," Lyman says.

"My jewelry is truly wearable art and each piece is unique!"

Dayton photographer, James Stayton, was once the photographer for the Thunderbirds. This close up photo of his was taken while he flew upside down to make sure the wings of his plane weren't included in the photo! A photo with a story like this deserves the perfect framing job, which is what we do at Wenaha Gallery.
