7 Things We Know About Israel’s Secretive Anti-Tunnel Tech System

The Israeli military on Monday uncovered and destroyed another cross-border tunnel emanating from the Hamas-ruled Gaza strip that reached into Israeli territory, killing at least seven members of the Palestinian terror group Islamic Jihad, according to Palestinian officials.

Following the operation, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu hailed Israel’s new “breakthrough technology” to locate attack tunnels built for terror attacks, a project that has been in the works for several years, before Israel fought a 50-day war with Hamas in 2014 in part to destroy the Palestinian group’s vast tunnel infrastructure.

NEWS & ANNOUNCEMENTS

STAFF INFORMATION & SAFE TRAVELS
Rabbi Danielle Upbin will be away November 5 - November 8 facilitating the Jewish Women's Getaway Retreat at Ramah Darom in Clayton, Georgia. How wonderful it is that 20 women from our own community will be participating with her in this retreat. We wish all of you safe travels and a most wonderful time!

A NOTE ABOUT SECURITY
Our community has seen a recent rise in auto vandalism and suspicious activity. Here at CBS we are responding by raising our awareness, increasing our security measures and counting upon our volunteer ushers and security team to help us stay ever vigilant.
  1. Please don’t leave valuables in your car
  2. Remember to lock your vehicle when in our parking lot
  3. Consider volunteering your efforts by joining the CBS usher and security team
  4. If you see something, say something. Please contact Karen Tashman and Elian Bar-Av to let them know.
Together, we can make a difference by working with the common goal of keeping our community safe.

MITZVAH OF THE MONTH
November is Jewish Book Month, and naturally an ideal month to ask for your donation of new or gently used children's books to be distributed to families less fortunate and to help community children develop a love of reading. We will be collecting these books through the end of November.
