February 2018
Dear Clients, Supporters, Colleagues and Friends,
We were honored to be the speakers last month for the Colorado Arts & Crafts Society annual symposium. We had a wonderful trip and would like to say a big thank you to everyone who participated. Fellow Roycroft Artist, Julie Leidel and her family were incredible hosts and we couldn’t get enough of the beautiful scenery in their idyllic mountain setting (seen under snow in the
header photo above.)
Spending time at the Boettcher Mansion and sharing time with A&C Society members was a delight. We loved having an afternoon at Modern Bungalow getting to know new owners Matt and Danielle, and conducting private color consultations in the store. Our trip ended with a special treat -- exploring Denver’s historic neighborhoods with Robert Rust and a preview of the absolutely incredible Kirkland Museum. The museum opens in a new building in March, and it should definitely be on your priority list when you visit the area!

Since our return, we’ve been focused on catching up on projects for clients and have been gearing up for the 31 st Annual Arts & Crafts Conference at the historic Grove Park Inn. We are looking forward to this festive and busy weekend where we get to see many of you! We will also be doing exterior painting presentations in the demonstration area throughout the weekend. See below for details about our program and consultations in NC.

Sincerely, Barbara and CJ

Booking NC Color Consultations this month
We are scheduling appointments to do color consultations both at the Grove Park Inn and private in-home meetings in Asheville, Greensboro and the surrounding regions.

Consultations at GPI
Offering basic consultations in 30 minute, affordable increments and longer in-depth sessions for those who need more. Schedule in advance to ensure a space, or see us at the conference. Phone: 503.234.4167 or email Barbara .

Bring good quality photos and notes about your goals and any challenges you are facing. For exterior projects, it is a good idea to bring photos showing the setting of your home (landscape, neighboring properties), roof, foundation, masonry, etc. We will guide you to an understanding of how many colors you’ll need to consider for your home, and will help you determine the color direction that is best for your home and personal goals.

For interior projects, bring photos of the rooms you want help with, and also pictures of adjacent rooms and spaces that will be staying the same.
Private In-home Consultations in the Asheville area, Greensboro and the Piedmont Triad region

We are offering our standard, and more indepth, professional consultation services to homeowners. We will visit your home to assess your architectural elements, setting, lighting, and other details in person. We offer options to meet homeowner needs and budget.

Limited availability. Call (503.234.4167) or email us to discuss details, assess your needs and reserve your space.

our fine art cards) started their collection of our new prints! We
were thirlled to get this photo of Eliz surrounded by gifts and showing
off " Nouveau Rose "!

Learn More About Us: Emerging Spring
We’ve added new images to the Hand Painted Interiors section of our website featuring “ Emerging Spring ”, a project completed
shortly before our 2016 relocation.

Emerging Spring ” is a hand-painted frieze of peonies & stylized trees, and is representative of the early blooming of the Spring season. It features a rich blue background with spring green, russet orange, with notes of pale pink and warm golden yellow. The imagery was inspired by the gardens surrounding the home.
