The Oconomowoc Arts Center is excited to kick off this season's Main Stage Series with
Beginnings: A Tribute to the Music of Chicago!
More than 10 years ago, Beginnings was born out
of the love and respect for one of the world's
best-selling groups, Chicago. With the iconic band's induction into the 2016 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame last spring, this celebration of Chicago's timeless music is the perfect opener to a new season at the OAC.
The audience will enjoy show-stopping tunes that span
the 40 years of number one albums, top ten hits
and timeless classics including "Saturday in the Park,"
"Make Me Smile," "Does Anyone Really Know What Time It Is?" and more.
From jazz to rock, instrumentals to beautiful love songs,
the music
of Chicago offers something for everyone!
"Every Chicago song is unique, yet you instantly know it's them when you hear them. Layer after layer of instrumentation and vocals allows you to hear something new in songs you've been listening to for years," said Beginnings' bassist/vocalist, Mason Swearingen.

With a focus on offering more opportunities for young people and their families to experience the magic of live performing arts, the Oconomowoc Arts Center proudly presents its Family Series!
The Legend of Sleepy Hollow,
a new musical piece from the Virginia Repertory Children's Theater will start the season off in time
for fall and the Halloween season on October 1.
Based on the classic story by Washington Irving with music and lyrics by Paul Deiss, t
his classic American tale tells the story of Tarry Town, a place where strange things happen and the townsfolk seem entranced by spirits.
The production will be brought to life by the Virginia Rep "On Tour" troupe. Since 1975, Virginia
Rep has created exciting and innovative theatrical touring productions geared for young audiences.
True to the original story, Ichabod Crane, Brom Bones, the lovely Katrina Van Tassel and the chilling Headless Horseman will enlighten the audience with musical duets and solos, dancing, authentic costuming and a set with extraordinary lighting techniques and props.
