A Montana Arts Education Leadership Summit hosted by MAC and OPI
September 23-24, 2016 in Helena, MT
Please join the Montana Arts Council and the Montana Office of Public Instruction as we shine a spotlight on the new Montana Arts Standards while celebrating integrated art learning as a critical  component of a well-rounded education. Special performances Friday evening by local Montana artists Philip Aaberg and Jack Gladstone. Friday afternoon administrator workshops will be available and Saturday workshops will be provided by Teacher Leaders in the Arts.

Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and Arts Integration are powerful and complementary tools for creating classrooms that are welcome and involve every student. This six-hour training offered by VSA Montana and the Paris Gibson Square Museum of Art will explore these strategies, and the value they can bring to students in every classroom.

Before there was STEAM, there was Jen Lewin . Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math have driven Lewin's education and work since she was a child, melding in her mind as one to form the basis of her interactive public artwork.

Seeking enthusiastic theater instructor who will work with students to teach the art of theater performance using voice, movement, characterization and improvisation in a variety of classes and performances.

All new hires will be probationary status unless the teacher is hired after the first student day of school, 8/3/2016. Per Master Agreement, when a position is filled after the opening of school by an individual who was not employed by the District in the previous school year, that employee will receive a one year temporary contract.
