Administrative Address
The Aspen View Academy Foundation is responsible for planning events and fundraisers and developing our AVA Community as well as the Communities both near and far. The Foundation operates much like what many know as a Parent Teacher Organization (PTO).

This year, the Foundation is focused on raising funds to directly and positively impact AVA students. Funds will be used to add needed technology, which is always evolving, to all grade levels. The Foundation is also focused on serving the AVA teachers by making sure they are equipped to serve students educationally and with extracurricular activities.

This year the Foundation will be hosting two major fundraisers:
  • Our the very first AVA Family Carnival on Saturday, September 30, 2017. The Family Carnival will host more than 20 games for all ages, an inflatable obstacle course, face painting, and much more! The Foundation is excited to put together this event for and with the AVA Community, working closely with many of our own AVA families as sponsors and vendors. Don't miss out on the fun for everyone all while helping raise funds for AVA. Purchase your tickets online using a credit card or at the AVA Front Office if paying by cash or check.
  • We will also be hosting a Golf Tournament in May; stay tuned for more details!

What can you expect in between? AVA's Got Talent, AVA Family Movie Night, AVA Gives (helping Hurricane victims as well as people closer to home), a Family 5 K Run, and much more!

I encourage you to pick something you are passionate about, and get involved through volunteering at AVA this year. Whether in the classroom, library, cafeteria, carpool, or helping with an event - we need you! Your help makes an ENORMOUS impact. This year the AVA Foundation will be recognizing volunteers that are volunteering monthly, as well as at the end of each trimester - log your hours to enjoy some special perks!!!

Interested in learning more, or want to get involved, please email foundation@aspenviewacademy.org any time!

Looking forward to a great year at AVA,

Rachelle Nye
Aspen View Academy Foundation Chair

Calling all 7th grade families!

We have started planning the Washington DC and New York trip for the 2018-2019 school year! If you are interested in joining us on this incredible trip, we invite you to join us for an informational meeting on Wednesday 9/27 at 6pm in the AVA library. We will discuss an itinerary, what to expect, cost, and answer any questions you may have. After this meeting you will be able to sign up your student. Spaces are limited and are on a first come first serve basis, so you wont want to miss it!

See you there!

How to Track Volunteer Hours

The kiosk is for tracking your volunteer hours, and if you are new family, you will need to set up your volunteer tracking account.

Each parent will need to set up an account with their email and family number.

Please visit our website and on the right side under quick links click on " Submit Volunteer Hours."  Then click on " Create your Volunteer Profile ."

Once you create your profile then you will be able to log in to the kiosk in the front lobby. If for any reason the kiosk is unavailable, you can always submit your hours from home. The kiosk is like a time clock for when you are volunteering in the building. When logging in and out, it tracks your hours automatically and posts to your account. When logging hours from home, they will post once the hours have been reviewed and approved.

For questions about volunteer hours please contact Sheri Cahill.

Just a friendly reminder to keep clipping and saving BOX TOPS for our school. We will be collecting them in October.

If you have any questions please email Kelly McNeil, the box top coordinator. Earn even more cash for AVA by downloading the NEW BOX TOPS BONUS APP.
Governing Board Opening

Per AVA Bylaws, the board will appoint a candidate to fill the remainder of the term for board seat #3 ending on May 1, 2018 at which time the seat will be up for election by AVA parents and staff.

Board Appointment Process

We have received two interested candidates for our open elected seat. Please see the links below to their Board Candidate Questionnaires.

We will be conducting a Candidate Meet and Greet and Q&A with the AVA Board during the board's working session at the September Board Meeting on September 21st with a plan of filling the seat at the October board meeting. Please contact Stephanie Rogers with any questions or additional points of clarification.

Driving Safety in the AVA School Zone
  • DO NOT use your phone while in carpool.  If you absolutely must be on your phone, we ask that you pull over and park. This includes being on speaker phone.  We want all drivers to give 100% of their attention to driving and to the safety of our students.
  • Low Meadow is mainly a school zone, therefore, the speed limit during drop off and pick up is 20 MPH max.
  • The max speed limit in our parking lot is 10 MPH.
  • School zones are a NO U-TURN ZONE
  • ALWAYS use the designated cross walks.
This is an area where we cannot afford to give grace, so we will be stopping people if we see the policies being violated.

Parents if you are seeing violations please notify the Town of Castle Rock Police Department. The more parents reporting violations, the more likely we will have patrol cars present.
