Frozen Is Featured at Friday's Asphalt Cinema
 
 
Join us in singing, "Let It Go!" this Friday as Frozen is our featured film showing at dusk. It's our second Asphalt Cinema
of the summer at Impett Park, 3207 West 153rd Street.

Although the film begins at dusk, the fun starts at 6:30 p.m. Come for the games along the main walkway as local merchants and non-profit organizations provide challenges for prizes. Free balloon creations will be offered, too. A "Master Fun Facilitator" starts at 7:30 to engage everyone in the entire family while the sky darkens for the outdoor movie. Purchase popcorn, hot dogs, and beverages from West Denison Baseball League with proceeds going to benefit the league.

"Music of the Market II" An Evening of Live Music on Tuesday, July 28

Local musicians united to support the Kamm's Corners Farmers Market
through the compilation and release of original music on a new CD. "Music of the Market II" will be released to the public at P.J. McIntyre's Irish Pub, 17119 Lorain Avenue, on Tuesday, July 28. You are invited to the release party, taking place from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and featuring live performances by legendary artists and local favorites.

Your $10 admission to the party includes an evening of LIVE music, a discounted CD, and the chance to win valuable door prizes. Stay for dinner and drinks, too, and 20% of your tab will be donated to the market. Simply print and present this flyer to your server.

Purchase tickets online here or at the door. All proceeds are for the benefit of the Kamm's Corners Farmers Market, which operates every Sunday in the municipal parking lot behind Walgreens from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. through October 11.

Kick Up Your Heels at the 33rd Cleveland Irish Cultural Festival, July 24 through 26

A weekend celebration of Irish heritage takes place at the Cuyahoga County Fairgounds from Friday, July 24 starting at 5 p.m. through Sunday evening, July 26 at 10 p.m. Parking is free! Enjoy great Irish bands, step dancers, children's activities, plays, food, and exhibits at the annual Cleveland Irish Cultural Festival!

Tickets are $12 per person and may be purchased online as well as from booths at both the Bagley and Eastland Road gates. Children under 10 gain free admittance. See the entertainment lineup here.   
  
Be Well, West Park!

You are invited to join a free 8-week adult fitness challenge hosted by Fairview Hospital, KCDC, BPDC, and local businesses. Kick-off screenings take place on Saturday, August 15, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Gunning Recreation Center, 16900 Puritas Avenue. On Tuesday evenings, walk and talk sessions will take place with health professionals from 6 to 7:30 p.m. starting on August 18 and running through October 6.

Prizes will be awarded for the top three participants who lose weight, participate fully, and exercise regularly! The final weigh-in takes place on Saturday, October 10, at Gunning Recreation Center.

for residents of Cleveland and its inner ring suburbs who are working on projects in Cleveland. The deadline to apply is August 5. Learn more here.

Neighborhood Connections offers small grants to groups of residents in Cleveland to do projects that improve the quality of life in their communities. Grants range from $500 to $5,000. The next grant deadline 5 p.m. on Friday, August 14. Read more about the requirements here.
