Assemblyman Barclay to Take Part in Outreach Event on Lake Ontario Flood Recovery Program


Assemblyman Will Barclay (R,C,I,Ref--Pulaski) will take part in a public meeting regarding the Lake Ontario Flood Recovery Program with Senator Patty Ritchie (R--Oswegatchie) and Neighbors of Watertown on  Wednesday, July 19 from 6:30-8 p.m. at  Sandy Pond Sportsmans Association 3201 County Rt. 15,  Pulaski, NY 13142.

Homeowners affected by flooding along the southern and eastern shores of Lake Ontario can get help applying for flood damage assistance at the event.

Those who attend are encouraged to first visit www.neighborsofwatertown.com and click on Lake Ontario Flood Recovery Program to view the list of required documents needed in order to apply.

During the last week of the Legislative session, lawmakers passed a bill to provide financial assistance to homeowners affected by extreme flooding that has occurred along Lake Ontario.  Assemblyman Barclay worked with other state legislators representing shoreline communities on legislation creating a funding program for residents, municipalities and businesses.  Neighbors of Watertown is administering the grants for homeowners.
