From the President's Desk

Greetings Bison!

First and foremost, a great big thank you for electing me as your President. I am extremely humbled and grateful for the opportunity to give back to the institution that has given me so much. Howard University is hallowed grounds. It's a magical place where the ancestors whisper to your soul, "Straighten your back and walk tall. We have paid for your crown." Howard is a place where dreams come true. It is home. We must never lose sight of the thread that weaves us together into this vibrant tapestry, Veritas et Utilitas - Truth and Service. We are bearers of torch and keepers of the flame. We are family.

We have had an extremely successful and exciting quarter. During the first 90 days of our administration we updated the Club's bylaws; created an organizational structure that ensures transparency and accountability; successfully transitioned officer and committee chair roles; and completed an Executive Board planning and training retreat. Additionally, an energetic committee has been busy planning the 150th Charter Day Atlanta Celebration. (You will not want to miss this one as it promises to be a special treat!) Every committee from events, fundraising, membership, recruiting, scholarship to young alumni has been tirelessly working on behalf of our Alma Mater. For our current and prospective members, I want to assure you that the intention of this Board is to grow the Atlanta Club without limits.

Stay tuned... the best is yet to come!

Unity, Wisdom and Strength,

Randall
