COME ON OUT!
The Taste of Smyrna is food, fun and music all day long! Nibble and nosh your way around the Village Green.   Admission is free and samples can be purchased from $1 up to $4.  Plan to sample from over 30 restaurants and listen to acoustic music on the beautiful Village Green and the Market Village.  Scott Thompson provides acoustic music from 11am - 3pm adjacent to the Veteran's Memorial.  The kids will have a blast at the Kids Zone on the Quad Bungee, 24' Rockwall, 33' inflatable Shark Slide, bounces, 120' roller coaster obstacle course and more!

As the largest fair in metro Atlanta, the North Georgia State Fair attracts nearly 300,000 people every year from North Georgia and neighboring states. The fair features live music, free attractions and shows, farm animals, flower shows, blue ribbon competitions, local entertainment, and delicious fair foods.  Headlining the Georgia Lottery Concert Series this year are: Colton Dixon (Friday, 9/22), Lauren Alaina (Saturday, 9/23), Trace Adkins (Wednesday, 9/27), Colt Ford (Thursday, 9/28), Chris Janson (Friday, 9/29) and Zach Seabaugh (Saturday 9/30). All concerts begin at 8 p.m. and are free with fair admission.  Admission to the fair is $7.00; Children 10 and under are free.  Ride tickets are $1.25 each with packages available. Discounted fair tickets are available thru Sept. 22 at metro Atlanta Walgreens stores.

Actor's Express opens its 30th Anniversary season with The Christians.  Pastor Paul has built his congregation from modest storefront to shining megachurch with a membership of thousands. But when the beloved minister steps up to the pulpit to share a new belief, his stunning revelation leaves the entire church community rocked to its core.  A provocative excavation of modern faith, The Christians will feature music from a community choir comprised of people from all faiths and backgrounds. This stunningly original play was a hit in New York and will have all of Atlanta talking.

ON SALE MONDAY!

The Decatur Craft Beer Festival sets up on the downtown square on Saturday, Oct. 21, from noon to 5 pm. Organized by the beer-minded owners of the Brickstore Pub, and Twain's Brewpub, this popular event features tastings from more than 80 American craft breweries. A line-up of live music and a DJ make for a lively and enjoyable afternoon on the square. A tasting glass is included in the ticket price, and festival swag, pretzel necklaces and food is available for sale within the venue. Tickets go on sale Sept. 18. Local tips: Tickets for this event always sell out, so buy yours early. On festival day, take MARTA to the downtown Decatur station and you will be at the event.
