For Immediate Release:
MIDTOWN DETROIT RESTAURANT ATLAS GLOBAL BISTRO TO CLOSE ON SUNDAY MAY 26, 2013.
Following Brunch on Sunday May 26, 2013 Atlas Global Bistro will close to the public after 10 years serving midtown Detroit. Simply put - the lease will be up on May 31, 2013.
Often called urban pioneers, Atlas opened in July of 2003 as a full service restaurant in the ground floor of the Addison Building at 3111 Woodward Avenue in Detroit. Atlas, with its' commitment to innovation, has evolved into a true new-american restaurant where Executive Chef Zachary Stotz creates fresh seasonal menus with flavors that span the globe. The inspired menu is paired with an equally eclectic variety of beer, wine and spirits. It is a convivial atmosphere where our guests are from all walks of life and are welcome in jeans or tuxedos. Service is formal but not stuffy. In a neighborhood where there are many bars, diners, fast casual, and a few very formal fine-dining establishments - Atlas is its own genre.
Relocation within the city is not out of the realm of possibility but we have nothing definite to announce at this time. What we will do is positively focus our energy and time on our independent and ongoing ventures. We live in the city and will continue to be active participants in our neighborhoods. We strongly encourage you to frequent the many gems that surround us.
We are thankful for our loyal patrons - regulars, press, community, friends, and family for their continued support and commitment to Atlas. Most importantly we are sincerely grateful to our amazing, dedicated, and professional staff for all their efforts and hard work over the past 10 years many of whom will remain "in the family". You shared our vision and worked beside us to create something memorable and rewarding in many ways. A fond farewell for now. Thank you for some fabulous memories.
