If so, please consider making a dress or pair of shorts in any child's size, and give them to Shirley Seminoff. She will see that they reach needy children in Haiti. Already, Shirley and her sister have sent 650 dresses and 100 pairs of shorts.
Wanted: Reading Volunteers for our Elementary Schools The St. James Outreach Committee is helping recruit 300 volunteers for the newly expanded and highly successful reading program - The United Way's Read-to-Succeed Program at 15 elementary schools in USD 259.  You can enroll online at Just one hour's training session is required on August 28 or August 30 or Sept. 8. Word for the Week ~ Encourage
The English word "encouragement" comes from the Old French, "corage," which is the word for heart. Encouragement is a balm to the heart. Encouragement will bind up the broken hearted, just as Jesus promises us.
