Leadership Training October 13-14
To kick-off the year, leadership training has been designed by the State Officers to help members "Unmask Their Potential".  A Community Service project "Caps for Kids" will be completed and sent to Peyton Manning Children's Hospital.  Members will design and create superhero capes for children who have extended treatment times at the hospital.  Come with ideas!

Our featured speaker this year is Tim H. Mills and he will speak on unmasking your superhero skills.  Outstanding member workshops and an adviser track have been developed with a focus from our partners State Farm, Lion's Club and the American Dairy Association.

If you are a new chapter please contact Cheryl Hamblin at 614-466-5718.

A list of items members need to bring along with the tentative agenda can be found on Ohio FCCLA.  Registration is open.  We look forward to seeing everyone at the Leadership Training in October.
Top Ohio winners at FCCLA Nationals

Congratulations to the sixty (60) plus students who placed in the top 5 of their STAR Events at Nationals.  A complete list of individuals and their perspective events can be found here.

WebXam Tests

Earlier this spring it was announced that WebXam would have a pre and post-test for all modules in the system. It has since been decided to move forward with offering pre-test on the pathways that have currently gone through the rewrite process (Construction Technologies, Engineering-Science Technologies, Health Sciences, Law and Public Safety, and Manufacturing Technologies).

Therefore all other pathways and Family and Consumer Sciences must follow established rules. This means testing of a module or course can only be done once during a school year.

If you are planning to test during 1st semester, students can be added to WebXam at any time - the sooner.  Your EMIS coordinator can send a file with all the student information.

2014/2015 Theme - Together We Are...

As discussed previously, and unveiled at this year's National Leadership Conference, FCCLA will have a single, unified theme for all of our events and initiatives throughout the 2014-2015 school year. That theme - Together We Are... - and its visual representation allow us to state the many things that we are as an organization (Family, Leaders, Stronger, etc.) and enable customization to suit a specific event, initiative or program. The Together We Are... logo is posted (in several formats) here on the FCCLA website for your use.

Policy & Process for Proposing to Use the FCCLA Emblem on Products or Apparel

With its launch as the new, official emblematic supplier for FCCLA, E Group has been granted the exclusive legal right to use the FCCLA logo and acronym on saleable merchandise. However, recognizing that individual states and/or chapters might occasionally have the need to use a local vendor for a specific merchandise request/order, the national board of directors recently approved a policy and process for requesting such use of the logo. The full policy, as well as the merchandise request form and the vendor agreement form, are posted here on the FCCLA website.
