Austin PRIDE 2014

Austin PRIDE is only a month away and this year is anticipated to be much bigger and more fabulous than ever. Project Transitions is about to begin working on a float concept that is sure to make an impression. If you are looking for something to do that is fun and want to make a statement that shows your pride, whether you are gay or straight but not narrow, you should consider joining us.

How?

Come volunteer! We need about 35 volunteers to help us on parade day, the 20th of September. It's an adventure you don't want to miss. Interested? Contact Ricardo Jimenez at 512-454-8646 ext. 104 or email at rjimenez@projecttransitions.org.

Project Transitions resident featured in
Austin Monthly

Make sure to pick up a September issue of Austin Monthly and read the article "The face of AIDS in Austin" for in-depth points of view by local HIV-positive men and women in the Austin area. Ruby Jones, a resident in our program, was selected to share her particularly compelling story along with an accompanying photo essay of others interviewed for this unforgettable piece.

Thank you to everyone who donated
school supplies to our kids!!

Thanks to you, they're ready for a great school year. It makes a big difference when a child has everything they need. We hope your kids have a great school year too! Happy Back to School, everyone!

It doesn't seem like October should be so close, but it is!!! Which means that the 2014 AIDS Walk is just around the corner!

Project Transitions is starting to put a team together. If you'd like to walk with us and help people living with HIV/AIDS, please contact Ricardo Jimenez at rjimenez@projecttransitions.org or at 512-454-8646 ext. 104. Last year was a BLAST! We'd love to have you join us for the fun. Practice that strut, baby.
