August 2014          Collegedale Public Library
Independence Day

The Library was pleased to participate in Collegedale's Independence Day Celebration on July 3. Visitors to the Library's booth were treated to an ice cream creation experiment, highlighting this year's "Fizz, Boom, Read!" summer reading theme. We also outlined our Geek the Library program and answered library-related queries. Thanks to all of you who visited!

Summer Reading Wrap-Up

This year's Summer Reading Program has been our most successful yet, with over 700 completers! Based on scientific calculations, we determine that over 210,000 minutes (or 3,500 hours) were spent reading this summer by program participants. We look forward to even more summer readers in 2015!

Paper for Fines

Join the Library and Samaritan Center in supporting our community and paying down your fines. With Paper for Fines, bring a pack of loose leaf paper (wide/college Rule) to the Library and get $1 off any current library fines. All paper collected at the Library will go to the Samaritan Center.
