Letter from the President
Dear Council Leaders, Supporters, and Friends:

I hope that you are enjoying a pleasant summer while managing to keep abreast of the major diplomatic developments in Iran and Cuba, Europe's migration crisis, the mixed picture for international trade, and perhaps even China's sagging stock market - not to mention the emerging U.S. presidential campaign.

We will begin to tackle that head on at WACA's 2015 National Conference - Leading America: Foreign Policy Challenges and the 2016 Election - on November 11-13.

I am pleased to announce that registration is officially open as of today and urge you to take advantage of the early-bird rate. You will see more details below, and be sure to check out our new online registration platform called Bizzabo. It offers improved functionality, a more pleasing interface, and secure payment processing. Attendees will be encouraged to download the Bizzabo app to enhance the networking experience of the National Conference and take part in polling, real-time surveying, and other interactive audience features during the event.

Amb. Roman Popadiuk, who has been terrific in his first month as WACA Chair, and Barbara Propes, past president of WACA and now serving as Conference Vice Chair, are busy securing keynote speakers, panelists, and moderators. Board members Joyce Davis and Karen de Bartolomé will be guiding the Leadership Day sessions that precede the Conference. You won't want to miss it!

Wishing you a splendid August,

Bill Clifford
