DR. MELISSA TREGO APPOINTED DEAN OF PCO
University president Dr. Michael H. Mittelman recently announced the appointment of Melissa Trego '04 OD, PhD, as the new dean of the  Pennsylvania College of Optometry (PCO) . She is the first female graduate of PCO to hold this title. 
 
SLP FACULTY MEMBER SELECTED TO ASHA PATHWAYS PROGRAM
DR. KYOMI GREGORY CHOSEN FOR EXCLUSIVE PROGRAM
Dr. Kyomi Gregory, assistant professor in the  College of Education and Rehabilitation's Speech-Language Pathology program , was recently selected to participate in the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association's (ASHA) Pathways Program. 

T he program aims to mentor early-career clinical scientists in developing strong foundations for careers in independent research. Approximately 10 protégé applicants are selected throughout the U.S. and paired with experienced mentors.
  Audiology Summer Workshops
EXPANDING AUDIOLOGISTS' CLINICAL SKILLS

Each summer,  Salus University Osborne College of Audiology  hosts a two-part series of  summer workshops for practicing audiologists  to further enhance their clinical knowledge and provide hands-on training in some of the latest tools and technology. 

This year's summer workshops included the Diagnosis and Management of External and Middle Ear Function, Cerumen Management, and An Advanced Update on Hearing Aid Technology and Clinical Best Practices for 2017.
  Student Receives Highest Score on National Boards
JAMIE (RODEN) PUCCI '18OD WINS DR. NORMAN E. WALLIS AWARD

Jamie (Roden) Pucci '18OD has been named the recipient of the 2017 Dr. Norman E. Wallis Award for Excellence for achieving the highest score on the National Board of Examiners in Optometry (NBEO) Part I Basic Science Examination. 

Ms. Pucci's score topped more than 2,000 students who took the exam at testing centers throughout the U.S.
DR. LOMBARDI  FAREWELL TOUR 
After nearly 50  years of service to Salus/Pennsylvania College of Optometry (PCO) and the optometric profession, it is time to honor Dr. Lorraine Lombardi. Please plan to attend a continuing education program (7 hours of COPE continuting education credits pending) and a PCO/Salus reception that features the teaching gifts of Dr. Lombardi along with just a few of her most distinguished former PCO students.
