Weekend Lineup
Beach Blanket Polka, National Party of Texas, Fab Fried Fish!
What a great summer weekend! The Czechs in Corpus are hosting the 5th Annual Summer Polka Fest with Czechaholics & Majek Orchestra. Schulenburg is celebrating its 40th year of bringing you the National Party of Texas. And what a party - live music all weekend, games, parade, cook-offs, school reunions, and more! Sts. Peter & Paul in Frelsburg continues its tradition of doing things a little differently for a church picnic. They serve up some of the best fried fish (instead of chicken) that you'll ever put in your mouth! Lost Cause provides the music.

SPJST Lodge 88 has Big Band on Saturday with Moonglow Orchestra. VFW in north Houston will host Bootleg Country on Sunday. One more church picnic - Immanuel Lutheran Church in La Vernia with music by Chris Rybak.

WEEKLY LAUGH
A few thoughts for the week!
Last year I joined a support group for procrastinators. We haven't met yet!
I don't need anger management. I need people to stop pissing me off!
Lord grant me the strength to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can & the friends to post my bail when I finally snap!
My people skills are just fine. It's my tolerance to idiots that needs work.
The kids text me "plz" which is shorter than please. I text back "no" which is shorter than "yes."
I'm going to retire and live off of my savings. Not sure what I'll do that second week.
