The Big Ass Design Build Bourbon Blast is scheduled for the evening of Thursday, September 15, in conjunction with the 2016 AIA KY/AIA IN Convention, and being held at the Woodford Reserve Club at UK Commonwealth Stadium. The event includes a Woodford Reserve-hosted bourbon tasting, buffet dinner, silent auction, live music, a raffle and a cash bar. The fundraising partner is the ACE (Architecture, Construction, Engineering) Mentor Scholarship Program. ACE, besides providing an introduction to the construction industry to high school students, also provides renewable scholarship opportunities to students who have completed the ACE program and have been accepted into an accredited Architectural, Construction or Engineering college degree program. Help motivated and interested young people enter our optimistic industry of design & construction. Let's Party!

State of the Department - Department of Business and Neighborhood Services Open House
The Department of Business and Neighborhood Services (BNS) will host a 'State of the Department' open house on Wednesday, September 7, at 5:30 p.m. at the Platform, 202 East Market Street.
The open house, open to the public and press, will allow Indianapolis citizens the opportunity to speak with BNS Director Jason Larrison, deputy directors and leadership staff on current programs and proposed initiatives.
Director Larrison will also discuss the reorganization of the department, the joining with Indianapolis Animal Care Services (IACS), and what the rebranding and restructuring of the departments mean in improving Indianapolis' quality of life.

FEMA P-154, Rapid Visual Screening of Buildings for Potential Seismic Hazards (pre-disaster) Training
