Celebrate harvest season at the Student Farm
The Penn State One Acre Student Farm will be hosting a Harvest Festival on Sept. 7th from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Bring your friends and family to join them for ribbon cutting, guest speakers, farm tours, live music and plenty of fresh food! 

Chemical ingredients in everyday products -- including shampoo, baby soap, carpets, flooring, clothing and bedding -- will begin to be regulated in approximately five years with a new compliance deadline. Until now, such regulation only occured after legal challenges or when the EPA could prove exposure to a substance held 'unreasonable risk' to human health.

Production is now in full swing at the One Ace Student Farm and we want to share the bounty! Please join us to celebrate our first growing season on Wednesday, September 7 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Enjoy farm fresh food, live music, farm tours and hands-on activities for the family!

Project Repat takes your old t-shirts and turns them into a quilt preserve your memories.  Thousands of textile jobs have gone overseas and Project Repat is helping to bring them back to the United States. Five percent of trash on Earth is used textiles and the average American trashes 65 pounds of clothing per year. The t-shirt quilts are backed with PolarTec fleece that is made from recycled plastic bottles.

Students (and their parents) can find back to school supplies for bargain prices at Lion Surplus.
Lion Surplus sells gently used furniture, desk accessories, lamps, tables, computer equipment, appliances and school supplies. The inventory is always changing so you never know what you might find.
