August 21: An exciting program follows the 12:15 pm luncheon in the CAC Dining Room. Micah Callahan will share his outstanding musical talents with us. This is a "don't miss" opportunity!
After 27 years of faithful service,  DENISE FOSTER  is retiring from her position as Director of Lay Ministries effective August 1. While we will never be able to replace her, we are immensely grateful for all of Denise's contributions to our church. We will let everyone know when a plan is set to thank Denise and show her our great appreciation. We give thanks for everything she has done in service to Him and look forward to seeing what God has in store for her next.

THANK YOU
Thank you for inspiring hearts and engaging your church family to participate in our 2016 Baby Bottle Campaign.  Because of you, lives will be saved. As of July 14th , Lakewood raised $1,843.44. Thank you for joining with us to build a culture of  LIFE  in Northeast Florida.

Thank you Lakewood for your gracious support as our mission team traveled to the UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief) Sager Brown Facility in Louisiana. We were blessed with many opportunities: working in their depot/warehouse preparing health care kits and birthing kits to be distributed to Africa, visiting and serving at local retirement and domestic violence shelters, building a ramp for a disabled member of the community, and on the Sager Brown campus completing electrical work, mowing the lawn, and building benches for future volunteers to enjoy. We feel blessed and thank you for the opportunity to serve God and His people in so many ways outside of our local community.                           -The UMCOR Sager Brown Mission Team
