Northeast Community Park & Skate Park
Grand Opening is August 19!

 

Northeast Community Park which includes Frisco's first ever skate park opens this month.

 

Join us on Saturday, August 19 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. as we officially open the park with a ribbon cutting and first official skate at 2895 Honey Grove Drive.

  • Registration for classes September through December begins Aug. 7 for residents and FAC members.
  • All others may register beginning Aug. 9

Frisco Water Park Summer Hours

Frisco Water Park's last day of regular hours is Sunday, Aug. 20.

The water park will then be open the following  two weekends, and then close until next summer:

August 26-27

Labor Day Weekend, Sept. 2 - 4

What's the best way to see a summer movie? Floating in the pool, of course! Join us at the Frisco Water Park for Finding Dory on Aug. 4. Gates open at 8 p.m.
 
The water park closes to the public at 6:30 p.m. on this day for event set up.

Construction Begins on Wranglers Range Neighborhood Park
 
Construction of Wranglers Range Park, located in Phillips Creek Ranch, north of Lebanon Road between FM 423 and Lone Star Parkway is underway. This neighborhood park will include playground, multi-use court, walking trails and shade structure. Construction is expected to be complete near the end of 2017.


Art in the Atrium Call for Artists

The City of Frisco seeks original, 2-Dimensional artworks by artists from Frisco and the surrounding area for the 15th installment of Art in the Atrium.
 
Art in the Atrium 15 will showcase artistic excellence in the region, encourage public dialogue, understanding and enjoyment of visual art, and promote the City's cultural and economic initiatives.

The deadline to submit artwork is August 21.

Art in the Atrium 15 is scheduled for Monday, October 9, 2017 through Friday, March 9, 2018.

Frisco Water Park is Going to the Dogs!

 

Doggy Splash Day is September 9. After the water park closes to humans for the summer, bring your pooch for a swim in the Frisco Water Park lagoon pool and lazy river. Register at the FAC beginning Aug. 7 for residents and FAC members, and Aug. 9 for nonresidents. No online registration. Waiver and proof of current rabies vaccination required.
