PRIMIS is delighted to announce the launch of a new version of its Warfarin Patient Safety quality improvement tool* that enables pre-written searches to be run instantly using the EMIS Web reporting module. Publication of new NICE menu indicators

NICE have announced that new and amended indicators for general practice and clinical commissioning groups have been published on the NICE website today. Click here to view

New GP indicators include:

- the percentage of patients registered at the practice aged 65 years and over who have been diagnosed with certain conditions and are therefore at risk of AF and AF-related stroke (see page 3).

- the percentage of patients with AF, currently treated with an anticoagulant, who have had a review including certain elements, as AF-related stroke prevention will be suboptimal if anticoagulation treatment is poorly controlled (see page 3).

New CCG indicators include:

- Proportion of patients with atrial fibrillation on anticoagulation admitted to hospital for stroke (see page 5).

- Proportion of patients with atrial fibrillation not on anticoagulation admitted to hospital for stroke (see page 5).

Also available are downloadable summaries of the new and amended indicators for general practice and new indicators for clinical commissioning groups.
