AUGUST NEWS
August / 6 / 2018
Dear Forest Hills Family and Friends,

At Forest Hills we're just getting started with our summer fun! Last month we enjoyed celebrating Independence Day with a community barbecue and it was wonderful to see so many visitors around. Our morning piano concert was also a lovely start to the 4th of July celebrations.

Coming up this month, we look forward to sharing poetry, painting and music during our scheduled life enrichment programming. Be sure to browse this newsletter for highlights of our programs and for the full Life Enrichment August 2018 calendar.

Thank you to all of the family and friends we get to see visiting us at Forest Hills. Hope to see you around!

Sending my warm regards,

Ceca Award Winner
Latifah Bowser

Congratulations to Latifah Bowser on winning the Ceca Award! We celebrated the award at Forest Hills with some of the nice things residents and peers had to say:

"A resident's daughter reported that she wanted to give Latifah flowers for making her mom feel so happy and welcoming her...she mentioned that one day she brought her mom in during the morning and when her mom saw Latifah she smiled a big smile; when the daughter asked if she knew her, her mom said, "Yes I do, I love her."

"Latifah has a special love and care for the residents and also the family members. She is perfect for this population and they can feel her love. I was visiting Forest Side yesterday and happened upon Latifah engaging the residents in a range of motion target game. Her loving and enthusiastic energy filled the room as she encouraged each resident to participate and celebrated their success when they played. All the residents in the room wore smiles and shared laugher. Latifah knows how to make our residents happy and content. She is a team player and always there to assist."

Thank you, Latifah, for all you do for our residents and our community!
