As the summer winds down we've definitely seen a change in the weather patterns, hopefully the wet days haven't slowed down your outdoor projects too much.  Our fish and plants seem to be loving the cooler weather!

We know it's the exception, but unfortunately there's a number of dishonest contractors out there. Please take the time to read the story below about some truly "good guys" in the pond industry.  Also i n this month's newsletter we have an article about shady ponds, our final seminar of the summer, an exciting new product line and a link to some Clearance Sale savings.

Happy Pondering,

Wave of Good Guys Come to Pond Victim's Rescue
The story below is just another example of why we've been with Aquascape for over 20 years and are such a strong supporter of the Certified Aquascape Contractor program.  Some CAC's in Michigan saw a news story about a bad pond contractor and decided to band together to do something about it:

(WJBK)  - The victim of a "Hall of Shame" contractor gets the pond he's been waiting for - as some heroes came to the rescue.   "Totally awesome," Luther said. "I can't believe it."  Believe it Luther. There were about 30 people working in your yard building your custom water feature you've waited two summers to get.   And these kind contractors did it out of the goodness of their hearts. Seven companies came out to donate their time and money.  These professional Aquascape contractors are actually competitors who worked  together to right a wrong that started with my Hall of Shame story that aired less than two weeks ago.

The Cool Appeal of Shady Ponds and Waterfalls
When we say "shady" ponds we aren't talking about water gardens that are dubious in nature. Rather, we mean water features that are located in shaded areas of the landscape. Although most people like to place a pond in a sunny area to enjoy a variety of sun-loving waterlilies, there are definite benefits of shady ponds and waterfalls.
