August 2018
Summer in the District!
July was a busy month in the district with themed Natick Nights each Thursday evening, and the 11th annual ArtWalk night with over 60 artists displaying their varied works of art!

The month of August will prove to be just as busy when we co-host the first Mass Innovation Nights in Natick Center, along with the Town of Natick, on August 8th at TCAN. We will also host our 2nd Annual Multicultural Day on August 25th on the Natick Common from 11-3:00 pm!

Natick Nights in the Summertime
During the month of July it was Natick Nights on Thursday evenings with something each week that all ages could enjoy. It included the popular Kids' Night's with the electric Kids' Rave and downtown merchants providing activities, and deals. There was Vintage night with the intriguing tour of the old train station depot in Dion's basement along with the Natick Masonic building historical tour. Craft Brew night offered locals a time to taste a few new brews at local stops and Bling Quest was a fast-paced scavenger hunt that took teams throughout Natick Center shops completing tasks.

We hosted some new and returning favorite entertainers, local bands and even bag pipes! From shops with weekly specials and new places to explore, Natick Nights offered the community a chance to get to know their downtown.

We hope some of you made a night out of coming downtown and we look forward to Natick Nights next year!
Local musicians along with Lou-Lou's Music Together were a part of Natick Nights 2018!

ArtWalk 2018
It was the perfect night for the Natick Center Cultural District's ArtWalk which celebrated its 11th season on July 19th!

More than 60 artists were stationed outside local businesses and studios in Natick Center and displayed their work while the public enjoyed strolling around. From exquite oil paintings to needlepoint and even items made from recycled fire hoses, an array of artists were featured in our streets.

There was face painting, entertainment and posing for pictures in front of the brightly painted butterfly on Adams St. Some got lucky and received a coloring book about the mosaic on Court St. by artist Carol Krentzman and reprinted generously by Middlesex Savings Bank.

At dusk the Emerson Urban Arts artists hosted a unique projection event, outside TCAN, featuring a dozen artist's videos projected across the side of the adjacent building. Beginning with an exploding galaxy and concluding with the title piece, Electric Pilgrims.

Thank you to our sponsors, MutualOne Bank and the Mass Cultural Council and to all the artists, merchants, DPW and Natick Police Dept. for helping us host this amazing night!
