Fall Adult League Registration
(5 v 5 & 4 v4)

Adults, we have been hard at work scheduling the fall Adult Leagues for both our Barn 5 v 5 Leagues and Pond 4 v 4 Leagues. The following is a list of all the amenities our Adult League Players will experience this fall:
  • Hockey Only Ice. Brand New Ice.
  • 10% Discount on all your league hockey when you enroll in both a PHC 4v4 and 5v5 League at the same time.
  • Great weeknight start times (645pm, 810pm, 935pm). You thought only the pros played under the lights at 645pm and 8pm? No longer!
  • 70-75 minute games (plenty of time for full 5 minute warm-up and all stoppages, without having to be rushed through your game, or having to wait on a schedule that is always running behind.)
  • With our 4v4 and 5v5 offerings, you can now play in at least 5 different leagues all under the same roof, and never have a hockey-related scheduling conflict or 2 games on the same day!!!
  • Set schedule for entire season... yes, you can make plans ahead of time and aren't beholden to monthly scheduling and hoping the schedule works.
  • Payment Plan for season fees.
  • Towel and Shampoo service in brand new large locker rooms... with hot showers, for every locker room.
  • Beer. Austin BeerWorks expansion and expanded hours.
  • Beverages. The PHC is now providing metal tubs and ice in every locker room to put your beverages in. No more lugging coolers to the rink!
  • PHC staff on hand at the front desk to help you with on demand skate sharpening before and after your games, with our new 3-headed Blackstone sharpening machine.

Auston Matthews Article

There was an interesting article in USA Hockey's publication last month about Auston Matthews, a first round draft pick in the NHL. The article highlights Auston's non traditional development.

"This kid grew up in a non-traditional southern market and really had a non-traditional development path," DeAngelis said. "It basically flies in the face of any parent who's spending $150,000 on their child's development to play AAA all over the world. He's really turning it upside-down."

At the Pond, we subscribe this development model, and encourage you to read his story!
