Business Leader Tony Vallejo Runs to Retain his Seat with 4 Challengers
The Chamber is analyzing the City Council race looking for pro- business leaders. With two seats up for grabs, pro-business incumbent Tony Vallejo is running for re-election and 4 newcomers vie for Jim Farr's vacant seat.

The business climate in our coastal city is heavily influenced by local government. Therefore, the Chamber is actively educating our members on who can best lead our city.

The Chamber has endorsed Tony Vallejo and will host a candidate forum to hear from the other 4 candidates and will possibly choose another candidate to support. Come hear for yourself on October 6th at the 2016 Legislative Summit.

Goleta Throws 4th Annual Dam Dinner at Lake Los Carneros
About 300 community members gathered for Goleta's fourth annual Dam Dinner at Lake Los Carneros on August 20th.

"It was definitely the best one yet,"  City of Goleta  spokeswoman Valerie Kushnerov said.

Goleta Valley residents brought along their own dinner and desserts, or bought pizza from Woodstock's Pizza, which had a booth set up on the dam.

The Salt Martians played music and there were free activities that included corn hole games and a photo booth with props.
