Greetings!

Sorry for the lag between newsletters, things have been pretty busy lately for the Chamber. and as I am able to, I will be letting you know about progress.

You probably have received word about Noble County Tomorrow and their survey for residents within the county. Bill & I attended the 1st Noble Tomorrow steering committee meeting this past week. The overall county plan was last updated in 2010 and the Avilla plan hasn't been updated since the 1990s. Significant changes economically have developed, so it would be valuable to have local businesses involved to create improvements. There seems to be good opportunity for input and open discussion within this group. I'd like to encourage you to consider being a part of the group and to fill out the survey ( found here ). If interested in being a representative for Avilla, contact Bill at the Town Hall during normal business hours at 897-2781.

Plans are coming together for our Christmastime activities and we will be keeping you up-to-date about them as things progress and hope that you will enjoy participating along with us.

We're looking for someone who would be interested in representing Avilla on the Noble County Fair Board and attend their meetings. This is a volunteer position and meetings are once a month. If you or anyone you know is interested and would like more information, let me know .

Happy Labor Day to you and yours,

Kevin Kelly
Chamber President
