The Woodridge Public  Library will open late at 1 p.m. on Friday, August 26  due to an all staff in-service.

Library News & Notes
Summer Reading Programs wrapped up at the end of July with more than 44,000 books read! Our congratulations to the 1200 children and over 300 teens and adults who participated.

Members of the Woodridge Library Reader's Theater Troupe. 

A highlight of summer programming was the Imagination and Reader's Theater EXTRAVAGANZA! performed for the public on July 28 by kids who took part in a six-week drama program held in the Children's Library on the second floor.

The very popular weekly Twilight Tales program presented the Goofy Olympics  on July 6. Children were  tossing, rolling and racing their way to victory!

Over 350 Pokémon GO players, along with their family members and friends, descended upon the library on Saturday, July 30 for a  special Pokémon hunt. Many families played as a team, while friends battled and competed with each other. The good-natured competition ended with a dramatic win for Team Instinct.

Children's Program: Summer Lunch

Summer Lunch, a program sponsored by the USDA and Northern Illinois Food Bank, will continue on Monday and Thursday afternoons through August 15.

Beary Potter: Mascot and Author 
Beary Potter gets a hug from a two-year-old patron.


Earlier this year library patrons voted to name our bear-who-sits-in-the-lobby. 

The name Beary Potter won. 

Now Beary has written his autobiography!

Stop by the lobby to learn more about the secret life of our beloved bear.
Teen Program: SAT Practice Test

The free practice S.A.T. test on August 20 has openings.  Registration required.
