End of Season
Out with the old and in with the new...

As the last races of the season close in on us I embrace the end of the season. I look at things I have done as a coach and as an athlete and I visualize how I want the next year to look. This year has been successful when I look at it from a coaching business standpoint but I also see a lot of opportunity for improvement. Now with things a little slower I will have the time to plan and develop what we will do next year. The question is...will you be here to experience it?

Infinity Bike Seat
Will this save me?

The fun of getting to go to Interbike is seeing all the new products that will be coming out soon. While I saw lots of things, this one really got my attention.

Is there such thing as a comfortable bike seat? One that you can ride aero in AND sit up to climb on? For those of you who don't have problems with comfort on the bike seat you are very lucky and for the rest of us this new Infinity Bike Seat seat might just be the answer. It isn't really on the market yet, but will be soon. I plan on riding it for Ironman Chattanooga so I will let you all know what I think after that!

*I did NOT ride this in the Ironman - there was just not enough time to get the seat height adjusted and even take it for a test ride and I was just not daring enough to have my 116 mile Ironman ride be the first ride on a new seat. I know better! Sometimes I have to take my own good advice!

Greenville Splash Website

Keep in mind that if you want to swimmer better and faster and be more motivated to get in the pool you need to use the resources that we have available to us.

Greenville Splash has more workouts geared for beginners. They are trying to get another beginner type workout at Caine Halter in the mornings. If they have more people demanding it...they can!

They also have a coach that works great with beginners. She also coaches Thursdays at GHS YMCA from noon to 1:00.

Tryon Half Marathon NEEDS Volunteers
Tryon Half Marathon
Saturday November 15th, 2014

Malone Coaching proudly sponsoring this event!

Go to Strictly Running.com to register

Race starts at 8am
Course closes at 11:30am

The Tryon Half Marathon is the perfect course for first-timers and those who appreciate a softer surface without going fully "trail!"

It will be hard to find a flatter, more scenic mountain course than this one. Fall temperatures and a mostly packed dirt/gravel course that meanders along a riverside through Tryon's famous "horse country" are all that is needed to make this an unbelievable 13.1 mile experience.

Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they have been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.
