AURORA SNOW TEAM UPDATE
10:15 a.m. | Sunday, February 11, 2018
SNOW REMOVAL OPERATIONS
After a brief break, the snow returned on Saturday evening and continued to fall throughout the night - adding a few more inches to our snow total.

The Aurora Snow Team has been focused on the primary roads throughout the night and entered into the residential areas earlier this morning. At approximately 10:30 a.m., the Aurora Snow Team will return to the primary roads to plow curb to curb and salt completely. At the same time, contractors will be dispatched to clear residential streets.

As they have over the past few days, team members will continue around the clock today to clear streets as the repeated snow events finally come to an end.

Thank you for your patience.
NO PARKING ON STREETS
PLEASE CONTINUE TO REFRAIN FROM PARKING ON CITY STREETS. In order to assure safe and effective snowplowing, the City will be enforcing its snowfall ordinance, which prohibits parking on any street or alleyway during or after a snowfall of two inches or more until the street has been plowed to the curb or road edge.
FIRE HYDRANT ASSISTANCE
Residents are asked to help clear snow and ice from fire hydrants near their home. A clear perimeter of about 3 feet and a path from the hydrant to the street will allow firefighters to quickly access the hydrant in case of an emergency.
Thanks to residents like Jarron, Emily and Terry who have assisted with clearing snow around fire hydrants in their neighborhoods.
