Jim Barry Wines
A Pioneer of Australian Winemaking
The late Jim Barry was a pioneer of the Australian wine industry. He was the first qualified winemaker to work in the Clare Valley of South Australia and with his wife, Nancy, built a successful wine business that has produced award-winning wines since its establishment in 1959. Today, Jim’s second eldest son, Peter is Managing Director, keeping the business in the family.
Jim Barry Wines has an innovative approach to viticulture and a strong commitment to technological excellence in winemaking. Their philosophy to winemaking is a simple one: own the vineyards to develop the best fruit flavors possible — and retain these flavors during winemaking. Fruit bottled under the Jim Barry Wines label is sourced from the family owned vineyards, ensuring complete control over every stage of production, from vine to wine.

Oxford Landing
Real Wine. Real Vineyards. Perfect for Everyday Drinking.
Oxford Landing isn't some invented name on a wine label. It's a real place, a real vineyard, that lies alongside the River Murray near the South Australian river town of Waikerie. Wyndham Hill Smith found this place in 1958. He saw the clear blue skies above the site and felt the gentle warmth of the sun. He held the rich, free-draining soil and knew this would be a wonderful place for growing grapes.
