Picture Book Reorganization: Making Picture Books Easier for Children to Find
Awesome things are happening at your library! We are reorganizing our picture book sections by color-coded topic (Dinosaurs, Animals, Make Believe, Our World, and more), which makes it easier for little readers to find what they're interested in. Our libraries in Sisters, La Pine, and Redmond have made the switch. Up next are libraries in Sunriver (Mar. 16), East Bend (Mar. 30) and Downtown Bend (Apr. 6); these libraries will be closed on the days that the reorganization takes place, but all digital services (eBooks, audio books, databases, etc.) will still be accessible via our website.
Where to Go for the Best Wi-Fi? Your Library!
We were proud to receive the "Where to GO! in Central Oregon" award for best free Wi-Fi in Central Oregon. Thanks to our amazing IT team, our libraries recently underwent a upgrade to give our customers faster and more secure Wi-Fi with broader coverage in our buildings. IT staff members Remington and Mark are pictured here with the award. We are grateful for the incredible staff who are at work behind the scenes to make the library GO!

Word for the day: philately, which is the collection and study of postage stamps. Nicholas has been collecting stamps since he was a child, and he uses the reference books at the Downtown Bend Library to identify what's in his collection. On this day he was working on stamps from Ghana.
