The New York International Auto Show is pleased to announce GM President Dan Ammann as keynote speaker for the Show's Opening Press Breakfast.  

The event attracts more than 800 media and OEM auto executives each year, and is followed by two days of new vehicle introductions.  The keynote takes place on Wednesday, April 1 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in Manhattan.

Ammann is part of the next generation of executives, led by GM CEO Mary Barra, charged with taking GM into a new era of superior vehicle design, technical innovation and customer focus.

His responsibilities include the company's global automotive business operations and its captive finance business, GM Financial. Ammann has stated that one of his main goals is to drive growth in consumer demand, profits and employment through strong brands, winning vehicles and great customer experience. Previously he was executive vice president and CFO where he transformed GM's finance operations into a world-class organization. Ammann joined GM in April 2010.

The Auto Show runs from April 3 - 12 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in Manhattan. Press Preview days are April 1 & 2.
