A 5-Star Library!
Library Journal Gives Avalon Top Rating


The Avalon Free Public Library again has been awarded 5 stars, the top rating awarded by the Library Journal's Index of Public Library Service. The 2016 rating is the ninth consecutive time that the Avalon Library has achieved this esteemed ranking.
 
The library is among 260 ranked as a 'Star Library' out of 7,349 libraries scored in the United States. Rating criteria is based on circulation, library visits, program attendance and public Internet computer use. Avalon was among four other libraries in New Jersey to receive 5 stars. The others were the Mercer County Library, the Princeton Public Library and the Bernardsville Public Library.
