Homeschooler's Day at Homeplace
Golden Pond, KY 
The Homeplace invites home educators and their families to spend a day on the farm and experience life in the 1850s.
In the past, children learned by doing farm work. Lessons in arithmetic and science could be learned by doing everyday chores like cooking a meal or feeding livestock. During Homeschoolers' Day the children will get to participate in the same activities they would have done in 1850 to be a successful farmer. Recommended for students ages 5-12.
School hours are from 10am-12pm and from 1-3pm.

Nashville Songwriters in Concert

Presented by the Paducah Symphony Orchestra
Nashville-based songwriter, and current PSO Artist in Residence, Jeff Dayton performs with special guests The Carsons.  Dayton, with his interactive, real-time songwriting and team-building program, Making Music Nashville Style, is the Paducah Symphony's Artist-in-Residence in two local schools this September.
Proceeds from this concert will fund Artist-in-Residence programs in area schools.  7:30pm. Clemens Fine Arts Center.

Named by Bicycling Magazine as "one of the best one- day bicycle tours in the country," this flat scenic bike tour through the beautiful countryside of Western Kentucky features four well-marked routes (10, 25, 40, 65, 100). Smoke on the Mountain
The year is 1938. It's Saturday night in Mount Pleasant, NC, and the Reverend Oglethorpe has invited the Sanders Family Singers to provide an upliftin' evening of singin' and witnessin'. The audience is invited to pull up a pew and join in the rollicking good time.
More than two dozen songs, many of them vintage pop hymns, and hilarious stories from the more or less devout Sanders provide a richly entertaining evening that has audiences clapping, singing, laughing and cheering.
