ABOUT the Broome County Arts Council (BCAC)
|
We are an independent, 501(c)3 public service organization. Our vision & mission: "to promote a thriving arts community, essential to the quality of life in Broome County. We strive to advance the awareness and value of the arts through advocacy, fundraising, grant making, services and programs." BCAC serves as an arts news & information clearinghouse through its website, weekly e-newsletter and BAMirror blog, a source for local arts previews, reviews and interviews. BCAC conducts the annual United Cultural Fund Campaign, which raises money for local arts grants from local government, foundations, business, corporate and individual donors. BCAC sponsors the annual Heart of the Arts Awards and the Lifetime Achievement award, which honor individuals who have made significant contributions to the arts in Broome County.
