At the helm.

All Shipboard Volunteers

April 4th - annual 5K / Walkathon fundraiser. We need volunteers to help man the event. If you're not planning to participate in the event itself, consider volunteering to help with all of the logistics.

April 11th - "all-hands" day to help prepare the ship for her departure the following day. We plan to take the ship off the dock for a brief sail to check everything out - the first sail of the season!

April 12th - transit from Bivalve to Penn's Landing in Philadelphia. Teaching & learning continue as this sail is dedicated to the new crew and shipboard volunteers.

All of the above shipboard volunteer training takes place in Bivalve, NJ. If you live in areas more convenient to our northern ports of call and would like to get involved as a shipboard volunteer but find that Bivalve is a bit too far to travel to for the training, let us know by replying to this email. Based upon interest, we will schedule volunteer training upon the ship's arrival at some of our other ports of call.

 Museum Docent Training
Sharing the history of the region.

We offer 12 hours of training for new museum docents. You have a choice of four Wednesday mornings or two Saturdays, as follows...

April 8th, 15th, 22nd & 29th (9:30 am - 12:30 pm each day) OR

April 11th & 25th (all day).

Specific details about this upcoming training will be sent to you in a couple of weeks via email. At that time, we will ask you to RSVP for the training.

Sincerely,
