BCMH Transition to Managed Care
Stakeholder Forums

We are writing to invite your participation in the BCMH Transition to Managed Care
Stakeholder Forums.

This will give families, caregivers, state officials and a group of stakeholders from around the state the opportunity to express their priorities for what a successful transition of the Children with Medical Handicaps Program (BCMH) will look like, what are the areas of support, or of concern, with the proposed transition of children with disabilities into Managed Care Organizations (MCOs).

These forums are sponsored by the Ohio Children's Hospital Association (OCHA) and Voices for Ohio's Children (Voices), to create a common base of understanding on what is expected in this transition and to generate responses to better inform BCMH families and providers.

The Arc of Ohio created the FCP to bridge the gap in services that some  individuals and families have been experiencing through the IO and Level 1 Waivers.

The FCP is based on the philosophy of self-determination and empowers people to enhance the quality of their lives by providing them with the opportunity for choice and control over their services and supports and by acknowledging that they are the best judges of their own needs and how those needs should be met.
