In addition to the noncredit courses featured in this newsletter, customized training is available to meet employer needs. Available topics include leadership development, project management, Lean Six Sigma, Microsoft Office Suite, and more.
 
Another valuable resource is CF's internship program. The program provides local employers with access to students seeking to utilize their skills in the workplace. Students bring fresh ideas and gain valuable experience while assisting with projects and tasks.

Custom Business Training Grant - Training Incentives Funds

CareerSource CLM works with our local educational partners - Marion Technical College (MTC), Withlacoochee Technical College (WTC), and the College of Central FL (CF), to promote short term training programs to businesses that need to train their existing employees.  CSCLM offers training funds through our Custom Business Training Grant (CBT), which offer financial support to employers that offer training opportunities to their existing workforce. The program offers between 50% to 75% reimbursement of the training expenses to have employees work toward industry certifications and/or expansion of their skills in technical industries. 

Examples of some of the training that can be utilized under the CBT program are:  CNC, Logistics, Automation and Production Technology, Supervisor Training, Cyber Security, AutoCAD, Welding, just to name a few.  Many other programs qualify for these funds.  To learn more about the CBT program and to see if we can support your training needs, contact a CareerSource CLM business development staff at (325) 873-7955, or visit our web for further information:  https://careersourceclm.com/pages/training

Career Awareness/Talent Pipeline Video Promotion Project

CareerSource CLM is initiating a series of educational videos - marketing industries in Marion, Citrus & Levy Counties through a 50 second video.  We are currently seeking employers in Information Technology and/or Manufacturing to promote their business through a short video that would help promote their business and industry, while educating our youth of career and industries in the region. Understanding Your Business Using Excel
Microsoft Excel can be a powerful tool to help you model your business. It lets you make predictions and decisions to ensure success. This  workshop will show you how to use Excel to collect your financials/cash flow and do basic projections to make sure that your business is ready for business peaks and valleys [especially important in our local marketplace where a lot of business can depend on "snowbirds"].

Basic familiarity with Excel is a pre-requisite for this workshop. The workshop will show how to export data from an accounting package into Excel and then use the data to make projections. Examples will be handed out to help you when you get back to your office.
