At the end of 2013, CF closed the CF Institute. That meant that most of our continuing education programs were discontinued or scattered around campus. Between 2014 and today, Bonnie Hays has worked diligently to bring training programs directly into your organizations to improve processes, performance and personnel. This October, Loren Carr will transition back into corporate training and head the newly re-formed  Corporate College .

The Corporate College is committed to meeting the training needs of local organizations.  That means helping companies identify workforce training gaps through assessments, designing customized training programs to address specific employee needs, increasing the skills employees need to advance within their organizations and so much more. The Corporate College will continue to work closely with its partners and is proud to support industry within our community.

I think we can all agree that our employees are our most valuable resources. So, why not maximize their potential with training?

College of Central Florida - Internship Program

At College of Central Florida, students are encouraged to complete internships and service learning projects helping them gain valuable work-related skills. Many students, particularly in business and technology programs, complete internships as part of their degree requirements.

According to a recent Wall Street Journal article, even one internship experience can improve the chances that a student will quickly find work or gain admission to a graduate program. Students in CF's internship program are generally required to complete 120 hours of work in positions relevant to their major, things like business management, office administration, information technology, engineering, and others.

The goal is to make the experience a win-win for students and local employers. Students make industry connections and get a better idea of skills needed for their intended careers. Employers gain access to new ideas as students assist with daily activities and special projects.

For more information about CF's internship program, please visit Internships at CF or contact Bonnie Hays at [email protected]
