Storybook Character Day
Thursday, October 29, 2015
Cat in the Hat, et al

Storybook Character Day is a long-time tradition at BCS. On Thursday, October 29, students may come to school dressed as their favorite storybook characters. Some guidelines will help us focus appropriately for the day.
· Character regalia must be positive or neutral (no evil, violent, or suggestive characters are to be portrayed). No props that can be used as weapons (e.g., leave the light sabers at home). Masks must be easily removable. Limited or no makeup.
· Character regalia must be modest and meet all the rules for school dress, including appropriate skirt/skort/sleeve length.
· Students are not required to dress as a character. If a student chooses not to dress as a character, they MUSTwear their school uniform as usual.
· Students must arrive at school already "in character." Do not plan to do this after arrival.
· Character regalia must not interfere with school and classroom activities (e.g., prevent a student from sitting at his/her desk, or travel safely up and down stairs, nor obstruct safe passage in hallways, etc.)

After pledges, all classes will walk a parade line and gather for a class photo.
